I have had a lot of death in my life. Since childhood. I am now at an age where I see many others experiencing loss some for the first time.
My sister gave me this little book when our mother passed. As familiar as I am with the grieving process I found it very helpful. Since then I have purchased and given away over 30 copies. I have seen it be profoundly helpful for some people to begin the process of healing.
One young widow I know who had no prior brush with such profound loss showed me the book about a year into her dealing with the death of her young husband. She had no idea that I had given it to her.
She went on and on about how helpful it had been, how useful it was to start to get a ground to begin to heal. I will buy many more just to make sure that people have a little tool to begin the process. It is a tiny but very real blessing. |
